Hi from London!

Or shall I say ‘ello! We’ve had a busy first few days and this is the first time I’ve been able to sit down at the computer for any length of time. First off, the weather is super warm and sunny. It’s amazing except when traveling in the Tube, then it’s like I’m in a sauna! I’ve been eating a lot of lightly salted crisps and drinking tons of water.

I’m also enjoying using a REAL MAP and not being tethered to my iPhone/email/etc.

Here’s some pics from the first few days.

Tired but wired at Trafalgar Square on our first day. We had just flown in that morning and finished our Orientation session in Russell Square and were doing a bit of wandering.

Obsessed with these Roman manicure sets from the Museum of London. How cool!

My meals have been all over the place. It’s been super busy and super hot and with the time change, I’ve just grazed on odd things during the day. This is like a breakfast/lunch but at 3 p.m. Sitting on the steps of St. Paul’s cathedral eating hard boiled eggs and spinach with crisps and mango and water.

Another weird breakfast/lunch type of thing. It’s noon and I’m at Heathrow airport trying to get a student’s bag that went missing. FOUND! But it took all morning, so I ended up eating this bizarre lunch consisting of a noodle salad from M&S with a coffee and a croissant from a coffee shop at the airport. (Loving Outlander so far!)

We’re staying in West London, so on the way to the National Theatre, we got off at Westminster for views of Big Ben, the London Eye, and a Southbank walk.

Afterwards, I popped over to Covent Garden for Ben’s cookies. The best warm and gooey cookies in London! Mmmmmm, I’ve waited so long for a reunion.
