A winter weekend in Japan.

A little video from my snow monkey and snowshoeing adventures this weekend. At one point, there was a cheese fondue picnic on a table made of snow, which I keep telling myself needs to happen again before spring. Enjoy!

Ha! I am jealous. We are all in need of some warm weather here. It is that time in the winter, when I just want to not wear layers and feel warm.

  2. Oh So Cool – loving your video – thanks for sharing:) Happy Monday!

  3. The babies are so stinkin cute – those facial expressions:)

    1. They are SO cute!!
    2. They definitely have THE LIFE! Could you imagine hanging out in a hot tub all day? Heaven!
    3. You guys are brilliant to bring fondue up there with you
    4. I hope you’re doing well! Still love reading about and watching all of your adventures :)

Hi Dani! Oh my gosh, I recently tried to make your chocolate cupcakes (the peppermint ones), but I could not find PAM and had ran out of oil. Long story, but they got stuck to the pan. Still. Delicious, just not pretty!

Hope you are doing well. Looks like life is a lot of fun in DC. I will be returning back to Vermont in August. I’m looking forward to Vermont, yet will be sad to leave Japan. So it goes.

I absolutely love the bathing monkey part of your video! (Although the fondue looks good too! Yum!) I had always just assumed these monkeys were in some remote mountain pools that only National Geographic photographers visited and even then quietly so as not to frighten them. :) Thanks for taking this great video!

The monkeys….it was amazing. They were used to people and quite friendly, although, there were many signs not to feed them or get too close.

Wow! I can’t believe you all lugged the fondue stuff with you snowshoeing. Brilliant idea. Snow monkeys…LOVED! So, cute.

  7. How funny – monkeys in onsen in the Valley of Hell!! And things we do in the snow…! Great video!!

  8. I want to go there in September but I am not sure I will have time regarding the busy trip I already planned to Japan…. Lucky you…
