Going through my healthy phase a month and a half later than everyone else.
I’ve been good on the Diet Coke quittin’ front, but I still feel really drained over here most days. I drink too much caffeine to always be tired. My fitness level has dwindled. And the only veggies I eat are green beans or broccoli, meaning I must be lacking in some essential nutrients.
Simply put, I just want more energy.
SO. CHANGES.
すこしずつ。Little by little.
Nothing drastic, ’tis the last thing I need. I am going to keep doing what I am doing, with some minor tweaks.
Per Joslyn’s guru’s advice, I am going to try drinking 32 ounces of water BEFORE drinking coffee in the morning (described as life changing, which really made me want to try this one!) and jump rope 10 minutes a day. I figure if I can run a marathon, I can jump rope for 10 minutes a day. I have to rid myself of, “Well, if I can’t workout for an hour, I’ll just do nothing” mentality.
I’m adding in some green smoothies – I just found the cutest little blender for $40 (which probably has 1/400th the power of a Vitamix….) – and dry body brushing, which is supposed to aid in circulation and detoxify the body. I need that last one after the Tokyo weekend.
Wish me luck!

Wanted to thank you for the 32 oz trick. I’ve been doing it for the past few days, and it has made such a difference! I usually need a quick power nap in the afternoon, but I haven’t needed it this week
Good luck with your healthy phase!
I know! Crazy, right? I have been doing it for the past five days and feel a WHOLE LOT BETTER. I need 1/5 the caffeine and feel more energetic. I’ve also been jumping rope (most days) and the dry brushing (most nights).
