Valentine’s Day in Japan!

Happy Valentine's Day! If I were in Paris, I'd check out the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur again. The steps were my favorite part. #latergram
Buuuut in Japan, some students gave me a slice of dark chocolate cake for Valentine's Day. #awwww #chocolatecake

Valentine's Day dinner. A huuuuuuuuge bowl of Sapporo ramen.
Little sistas! I know we are all in the battle for the Longest Hair award come August, but I am seriously starting to resemble an untamed lioness over here in sleek Japan. @allisonareid @kimberlyjolie

1. I woke up wishing I was in Paris, envisioning I was climbing the steps to the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur again. Not a bad way to wake up.

2. Buuuuut some students brought me a slice of dark chocolate cake at lunchtime, so Japan was looking better and better.

3. After school, I had a Valentine’s Day party with my English Club. My friend Laney sent me these napkins from the States. KAWAII. (Also, more cookies from students, with the realization that they think my name is spelled SALA.)

4. And then I was off to a ramen dinner with some other teachers. I indulged in a huuuuuuuge bowl of Sapporo ramen. (No black ramen on the menu. Darn.)

Happy Valentine’s Day/weekend, depending on where you are in the world, folks. I’m off to Tokyo (Gone Girl in hand) for the next two days!

One Response to Valentine’s Day in Japan!

  1. The negi on the ramen looks great. Excellent that your students know what you like. :D
