Tadaima! I feel tired, yet rejuvenated. I made it home, after about 30 hours of traveling, from a two-week vacation around Thailand and Malaysia.
Okay, so there was no smoldering NYE kiss with a hot, rugged backpacker – tall with tan skin and shaggy hair – like I may have….errrrr…..imagined in my mind. My friend and I did share a taxi ride in Malaysia with two pretty cute Danish guys. GAWD, their accent. It’s beautiful, with a lilt that reminds me of Liam Neeson.
After we went our separate ways, we never saw them again.
Anyway.
This was a relaxing vacation, geared more toward going to bed early, sleeping in, and exploring. I didn’t even stay up until midnight on New Year’s Eve. But I did dip my toes in this turquoise water in Thailand. And I visited 400 million year-old caves. And I dove into pleasure reading. I read a really, REALLY good backpacking memoir – Wild by Cheryl Strayed – in, something like, two days.
I will be back with gorgeous vacation pictures because I am a shutterbug, who never prints out photos (HELLO, New Year’s Resolution!), and need to do something with the 800-something photos I took in two weeks.
For now, HAPPY 2013.

Happy 2013, Sarah!! Love your gorgeous, colorful photos!!
