By some miracle, I made it back to the States on time, and in time for my predeparture orientation today. I got in to Boston late, around 11 p.m. last night.
I’m staying with my friend Liz in Wellesley. This morning Liz made me banana pancakes. (She’s amazing.) I put on whatever I could find, as well as my new boots from London – a splurge that I bought at Liberty’s on the last day – for breakfast. I look rough and feel exhausted.
Anyway, my orientation was at 11 a.m. today. I got my ticket for Tokyo. THIS IS REAL.
I am also so over packing.

Can’t wait until you’re in Asia because you’ll be closer to me! I know its hard not to worry about packing, but rest assured that it will all work out in the end (I say this from TONS of experience). And, you will be able to buy anything you need in Japan. Can’t wait to see you in Nov. – if you can’t make it to KL, I’ll come to see you!
Best of luck for a comfortable and safe flight!
Just breath. You will be all right!
Eventually!
Hello Sarah! The banana pancakes made by Liz look scrumptious. Love the table spread as well.
