Weekend snippets.

I had a relaxing weekend. I went to visit Mindi, Tom, and Avery in Windsor, Vermont. We hit up the farmer’s market, and I bought the most gorgeous strawberries!

Then I randomly felt like making skillet lasagna for dinner tonight even though it was like 90 degrees outside. I forgot how quick and easy it was to make!

I caught up on Girls during dinner. Anyone watching it? Episdode 8 wasn’t my favorite. I nearly gagged when Adam peed in the shower; otherwise, I’m totally into the show.

And don’t be deceived by the cupcake. I’ve been striking out baking-wise recently. I made Mindi cupcakes for a belated birthday treat, but they were SUPER dry. Perhaps I overbaked them? Ugh. That sucks.

And Merlin continues to love his spot by the window.

That’s about it for the weekend. I’ve got a super busy week ahead – sorry, I hate being vague and everyone is busy, so details soon! – and I’m meeting Laney and Alison in New York City for a long weekend. I’ve only been to the city a few times, and the last time was six years ago. I’m definitely bringing my camera!

  1. I had to comment because Merlin is so cute! Pretty photos too! He reminds me of my cat Sniper, here’s some photos of him in this post: http://caitsfoodtherapy.com/2012/03/12/for-the-love-of-cake-and-cats/

I know! Obsessed. Although, I’ve been busy and have missed the last two episodes. I was also enjoying Game of Thrones, but again, haven’t gotten to season two yet.
