Mostly exciting things in-store for this weekend:
It’s the annual Apple Pie Bake-Off party Saturday night. Everyone brings a traditional apple pie – no nuts, no cheese, no add-ins – nothing to distract from the simplistic awesomeness of crust + apple. We sample and rate them based on appearance, filling, and crust. Last year, I think there were around 13 different pies. It’s madness. I can’t wait.
Side note: My parents were visiting last year and my mom’s pie came in second. I’ll try to follow in her footsteps.
It’s Eat Local Week in Vermont. I am hitting up the sourdough bread, pie, cheese-making, and beer-brewing workshops, most of them with my foodie-loving friend Rachel. All free. I love Vermont.
A few of my London students are in the play Stop Kiss this weekend. I got tickets for Sunday. Can’t wait to see them in action.
Last but not least, I have a 12-page paper to write. That’s…..not so exciting.
Happy weekend!

Ahh! Crazy party idea! Looks amazing and tiring at the same time, haha.

Fall in Vermont is beautiful– my sister lives in Burlington and we were there for thanksgiving last year. nothing beats the fresh apple cider, bright beautiful leaves and lake champlain chocolate!!
